Hello SoCal S-Chassis Owners!
August 20th 2016 marked the 8th Annual Socal S-Chassis Meet. And what a great turnout indeed. Much more cars were well done this year making it clear everyone has been working hard to play hard. It is always great seeing properly done builds and this year did not disappoint. We saw S12s, S13s, S14s, and even a S15! This year the lot got packed extremely quick with a line of S-Chassis owners going around the street.
This is one of those meets I really love attending because it is a time where all S-Chassis enthusiast come to meet and greet. Its a day to show off your car and make new friends and also a great time to meet some vendors from the automotive industry in person. We actually made many many friends that day and I really hope I get to see them again soon! This includes Jose of SoCalSidewayz, Formula Drift driver Ryan Litteral, and many more!
We loved taking pictures at this years meet. We actually took much more than I thought and we might not have uploaded them all because otherwise we would of never finished! I also made sure I personally passed out as many stickers as possible to everyone I came in contact with. I did my best to make small talk with people with great builds and with those whom are doing their best with what they have.
Before we get to the pictures something I want to remind everyone about is that we all started out somewhere. So lets never hold our heads too high and remember to be open minded and be open to making friends with everyone who shares the same passion. Some people may be looking up to you and your build so be humble and do your best for small talk with all kinds of people.
Now lets see the highlights of the event and remember to share the pictures and if you want to use one for social media feel free simply give us a shout out 🙂 Thank You!
Early birds at K1 ready for the day. Was great finding out who the owner of the red Kouki S14 was after all those times we picked up parts as FRsport!
We actually got to see Mario’s car the night before at a private pre-meet. All it needed was paint and its fresh. Looks good we want to see it sideways!
JPSTYLE240SX 😉 never get tired of this one and we probably see this car more often than any other. Alex is one true down to earth fella.
Quickly but surely we began seeing much more cars and I was glad AutoFactory Realize showed up. Finally got to see this thing in person.
We are long time fans of SocalSidewayz and Jose’s Kouki S14. Both extremely influential and I was very honored to have a quick word with him.
This thing just WORKS!
A previous supporter of the event is Street Faction. They showed up again with more bash bars for the drift cars. Here is some of their gang.
Of course Matt’s vert is one crazy build and is one that never misses a show.
We also had the up and coming tire company Zestino Tyres show up. Such a friendly bunch and they brought along a grip of tires to display to potential customers.
No Limit Set was present as well of course.
We met MCKINNEY MOTORSPORTS for the first time and they seem to be no stranger to our blog and content which is always nice to hear!
Yes, that is an S15. Finally the day came where I saw one in person.
Jason Kim of Rival Auto Works showed up with his drift car. Man was it loud. We have seen this drift machine in videos only and he can really drive. Was great meeting Jason finally.
One of the caters that came along. We had a burger from Eat’EmUp and it definitely was great and very filling.
Mastermind is one of those companies that made it clear that they are here to help the community. They offer quality products like BN SPORTS and much more. So if you are in search of JP parts that may be hard to come by or parts that are to much of a hassle to ship like body kits hit them up! Paul will take care of you for sure!
SilviaVert. First time seeing this in person. These guys received some business cards and stickers and were a great bunch just here to have a good time.
I heard that this was the best S13 hatch at the event that day 😉
Kyle’s car is a work in progress but looks just amazing already. 326 kit was on point Kyle definitly has a sense in style and is a very mellow person. A die hard KA-T fan.
We have all seen his videos and some follow the build. This guy always puts up great content. Follow Offbeat Garage 🙂
One of our favorite S13s of all time. Caesar does things right and keeps it simple yet effective. The OEM kit, white wheels, Cusco cage, DMAX wing, it just all works!
The red S14 we all know. Mr. Chavez showed up with the drift machine.
We finally got around taking pictures of this RHD sileighty. We need to have a true photo sesh with this guy.
Team Mayhem showed up and of course they all keep it real nice and clean to represent properly.
I believe this car is driven by a young lady but I may be wrong. Boosted KA you can tell they love it.
Probably one of the cars I was more excited to see at this event. We heard it was getting painted and to finally see it all one clean color amazing. He was stoked and so were we. El and his JZ.
First time meeting vonstar_. Such a mellow cat with a clean car. And I think many at the event agreed it was one of the cleanest coupes there.
Although only a few sowed up we couldn’t forget about the S12s. No they are NOT Corollas! Hahaha.
Roy is one of our older friends and his car has always been kept in great shape and was always so clean from the day we met.
RB Kouki S14. Super quiet for the heart that it has. Was a while since we last saw this one. Whittier meet days.
Meeting Ryan was amazing and was great seeing him attend a meet with the locals. He is such a humble dude. The person you see in the videos is the person you see in real life.
Zestino Tyres USA Family photo! We were just missing Ernie 🙁
After everyone had the chance to meet and greet It was time to announce the winners of Best S12, S13, S14
Best S13 Hatch went to William Cordon with a blue S13.5. The Rumors were true when I heard that it was the best one there!
Best S13 Coupe went to Vonstar! My favorite coupe there! Well deserved.
Best S14 Zenki went to a team Mayhem driver. One of the nicest looking S14 Zenkis indeed! Glad he won one for his team.
Best S14 Kouki went to Aaron with his RB25DET Kouki!
And best of show went to our favorite S13 Hatch! Caesar’s red S13 on OEM Type X Aero!
The show was great but we couldn’t of done it without the volunteers and staff. . .
And of course probably some of the two coolest guys I have met 🙂 Anthony and John!
As always we cannot wait for the next one! Be sure to share the pictures and the blog!
